Things to try and remember so as not to self-destruct…

-Really, did you want to be working right away, anyhow?
-Mom and Dad will not kick you out of the house because you’re not gainfully employed.
-Those little pellets that you put into water and they grow into sponges shaped like dinosaurs.
-Nothing happens overnight.
-Hooray for doing things for YOU!

-When life gives you lemons… make lemonade… and then pour vodka in it.
-Things will work out – you’re so sneakily resourceful enough that it’ll be okay.
-If you don’t go to Widener in the fall, you WILL find a job somewhere.
-It won’t be migrant work.
-Althought that’d be really funny…
-You don’t have to pay rent.
-Global warming will kill the next generations, not yours.
-If, God forbid, you don’t go to Widener and try finding a job but don’t get one before the dreaded, “6
months after school pay out of your ass for loans,” (yes, its called that in the textbooks), you have money
squirreled away that’ll get you by the first couple of payments.
-Faking your own death is always an options.
-It’s not like you’re not skilled enough to get a job – you can’t decide what you want to do with yourself.
-Puppies, or something…
-Losing weight is gradually making you feel better about yourself.
-Having time to read books you actually want to read is amazing – you almost forgot what a bookworm
you were!
-You managed to get a slight tan – hooray for not getting cancer, but not being a complete pasty white girl!
-Those little drink umbrellas. Also clutch.

It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even submit a job application. That’s what’s most fucked up about the situation. Damned online jobs – you search so much that by the time you’ve finished searching you’ve been at it for hours and don’t feel like trying to configure your resume to whatever crazy system the search wants it to be in, and write some cheesy cover letter to actually fit the company and what you can offer. I’m tired of thinking of ways to market myself.
I love how you’re an individual for so long, and then suddenly you’ve become a product…

Hooroo ‘no worries, mate’, Hello ‘BOLLOCKS!’… I’m noticing a trend.

It's the new and improved Amy! Check out that litigious judo-chop action...so legally binding! Also available is the Amy Classic, pet wallaby sold separately!

Now that's becoming a product!

From reading your words, I know you'll be fine. I know I feel uneasy when I've got nothing to do. But no matter where you go, you'll do it up :)

Let's get a movie trip or something together soon!

Peace and Good Things :)

You'll be fine. You're smarter than me. And you have a kick ass family that loves and supports you.

You forgot one thing.

Chinchillas. Such a cool word, such a cooler animal.

have you tried craigslist.org? i find it infinitely more helpful for jobs than something like monster.com or careerbuilder.
